Eunice Waymon aka Nina Simone, The High Priestess of Soul was a singer, pianist, songwriter, and civil rights activist. Her music blended gospel, blues, folk, pop, and classical styles. Simone was known for the protest songs she wrote and preformed during the Civil Rights Movement.
